The IOF WOC Clinic is dedicated to athletes from National Federations which are IOF members but cannot send athletes to the World Orienteering Championships (WOC) due to financial limitations. Participants will be provided accommodation, transport, meals and coaching.
The IOF WOC Clinic also focuses on learning of orienteering skills and exchange of knowledge and experience with orienteering development between participating athletes and the Clinic coaches and leaders.
National Federations can enter maximum 1 female and 1 male athlete. Candidates should be promising athletes and nomination of athletes younger than 30 years is especially encouraged.
IOF WOC Clinic 2026:
The 2026 World Orienteering Championships (WOC) will be held in Genova, Italy. As always, the agreement between the IOF and the WOC Organiser includes the delivery of the IOF WOC Clinic sponsored by the organizing committee of WOC.
The clinic starts with training days, consisting of lectures and practical exercises designed to prepare the participants to a successful participation in the World Orienteering Championships competitions during the following days. It will also provide participants with further knowledge to support development of orienteering in their home countries.

Applications for participation at IOF WOC Clinic 2026 must be submitted by 15 February 2026 at the latest. Applications must be submitted through the national orienteering federations.
