Splittorff and Maišelis lead in CX80 MTBO World Cup

Nikoline Splittorff, Denmark has maximum points and Lithuanian Jonas Maišelis is ahead of last year’s runner-up, the Czech rider Vojtech Ludvik, by 31 points after Round 1 of the CX80 World Cup just completed in Lithuania.

Splittorff was the queen of the Aprèsport European Championships, winning all three individual gold medals, whilst Maišelis won the Middle race and was in bronze medal position in both Sprint and Mass Start.

Ruska Saarela, Finland was the second most successful woman rider, followed by home rider Algirda Mickūviene and Dane Camilla Søgaard. Saarela won 2 silver medals and 1 bronze.

Ludvik, in second place in the men’s table, won silver medals in both Middle and Mass start. Third is Miika Nurmi, Finland and fourth is Sprint winner Fabiano Bettega, Italy.

Finland top of the EMTBOC medals table

Finland won 1 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals to lead the medals table ahead of Denmark (3 gold) and Lithuania (1 gold, 3 bronze). The medals list is completed by Czechia (2 silver) and Italy (1 gold).
