After consultation with federations and approval by IOF Council, the TrailO Commission is delighted to announce the introduction of a Junior Class at major championships.
Eligible for the new class are competitors aged 20 years or younger at the end of the calendar year.
The competition programme for ETOC and WTOC will remain unchanged, but all three disciplines (PreO, TempO and TrailO relay) will be contested in Open class, P class (for competitors with physical impairment and a valid eligibility certificate) and Junior class.

The first Junior champions will be crowned at ETOC 2026 in Poland next summer.
