The Ukrainian national orienteering team has been able to participate in all international championships and World Cup competitions in 2022, despite the war going on in the country.
Although it has been possible, it is not easy to focus on performing on top level, when your thoughts are with family and friends back home.
– It is hard. It is sad to say, but you get used to the war and everything going on in the country. It is demanding, Ukrainian national runner Ruslan Glibov said during the World Cup final in Switzerland in an interview, that was broadcasted on the Norwegian tv-station NRK.

The Ukranian participation has relied on national federations’ and various organizers effort to help support Ukrainian orienteering, as well as the money raised through IOF’s Donation site has made a difference.
