At its latest meeting, the IOF Council appointed a number of hosts for upcoming international and regional championships.
USA was appointed to host the World Trail Orienteering Championships 2027 with the preliminary dates 9-14 November 2027.
WTOC is held every other year and the 2027 edition will be the first time that the WTOC is held outside Europe and Asia.

SAOC 2026 in Chile
South America’s best orienteers will turn their attention to Chile in 2026, when the next edition of the South American Orienteering Championships is held there next year.
The preliminary dates are 12-15 November 2026.

NAOC 2026 to USA
The USA will also host the 2026 edition of the North American Orienteering Championships.
The championship’s preliminary dates are 27th December 2026 to 2nd January 2027.
