Last week, the International University Sports Federation (FISU) awarded the organisation of the 33rd Winter Universiade to Changchun, Jilin Province in Northern China.
The Games will feature the best student-athletes from over 50 countries and five continents from 15-25 January, 2027.
For Ski Orienteering, it will be the third time that the sport is part of the Winter Universiade and from 2027 is Ski Orienteering part of the compulsory programme. Previously it held the status as an optional sport
