In late May, the 2026 Orienteering World Cup continues with round 2 in the twin host cities of Skara and Lidköping in Sweden. After the opening round of the season, the world’s best sprint specialists gather for three days of fast-paced urban racing in compact and spectator-friendly arenas.
The program features a Knock-Out Sprint in Lidköping, followed by an Individual Sprint and Sprint Relay in Skara, offering a complete test of speed, precision and tactical decision-making. Athletes will face varied urban environments, from intricate town centers to park areas, where small mistakes can be decisive and route choice is key throughout all stages.
With competitions held right in the heart of the cities, spectators can experience the intensity of elite orienteering up close, as head-to-head battles, tight margins and high-speed navigation define this exciting World Cup round.
