IOF and the Chinese Radio Sports and Orienteering Association welcomes you to follow the Orienteering World Cup Final with Middle, Sprint Relay and Sprint competitions. All 3 competitions will be covered with full TV broadcast on Web-TV. Read this page to warm up and then follow the competitions by selecting the competition day in the tabs above.

How to purchase a ticket

Price: 16 EURO for all competitions ticket or 6 EURO per competition

You can buy the ticket several days before the competitions as the purchase is tied to your login account.

1. Navigate to the any competition day by choosing the right competition tab. It does not matter which competition you choose if you shall purchase the “All comptitions ticket”.
2. In the “Web-TV” box, click on “BUY”
3. “LOGIN” in into your InPlayer account or create one by clicking on “SIGN UP”
4. Choose type of ticket.
5. Pay by credit card
6. The Web-TV is now ‘unlocked’ and you will see the “Event logo and competition name” in the Web-TV window. You can login on any supported device and watch your purchased Web-TV shows after the purchase.

The LIVE Orienteering platform and paywall for the Web-TV shows are rebuilt for the 2019 season.

• All Web-TV Followers need to create an account on the platform.
• You can re-use the account you created for World Cup Round 1 in Finland.

Disclaimer

IOF, the TV-production team, the local organisers and InPlayer Services are doing our best in making available all World Cup competitions, at a good quality, to all orienteering followers around the globe at a reasonable cost. The setup of globally distributed live streams from the production bus to the follower’s phone, tablet or computer is a complex project where the are several possible issues that can appear. We will do our best to provide good quality, fun and exciting competitions at your home!

Due to the big variation in type of device that our followers use, we strongly recommend checking the supported devices page . Mobile/tablet followers must use Chrome or Safari browsers.

Refunding and compensation

If problem occurs, we will do our best to solve it as soon as possible. A major problem is when the stream is not available for a majority of the live competition time that effects all users or a clear majority of the users. We will always make available the best possible Re-Live broadcast after the race if possible.

After the Round, we will evaluate the services from each competition and if a major problem have occurred on one competition we will communicate (through InPlayer registered user email) with all followers that had purchased a ticket on a way for compensation.

Minor problems, such as small lagging issues or temporary disturbed sound, might occur.

Scoring system

The world cup final have two competitions and the scoring from both competitions will count. That means an athlete can get 200 points (100*2) in the final weekend. From the first 7 competitions, the best 6 counts.

Scoring points: 1st place 100 points, 2nd place 80 points, 3rd place 60 points, 4th place 50 points, 5th place 45 points, 6th place 40 points, 7th place 37 points, 8th place 35 points, 9th place 33 points, 10th place 31 points, 11th place 30 points, 12th place 29 points, …continues -1 to…40th place 1 point

Women standings before final Sprint

It is already decided that Tove Alexandersson (SWE) will win the overall World Cup. There is a battle about the second place between Natalia Gemperle (RUS) and Simona Aebersold (SUI). Gemperle was second in the Middle Distance and she has a good possibility to be second in the overall World Cup. She is 27 points ahead of Simona Aebersold (4th in the Middle Distance) with the final Sprint left. Aebersold needs to be ahead of Gemperle to be second. If Aebersold wins the Sprint Gemperle needs to be second to be second in the overall standings. If Aebersold is second Gemperle needs to be third. If Aebersold is third Natalia needs to be sixth or better.

Men standings before final Sprint

It is already decided that Gustav Bergman (SWE) will win the overall World Cup.  Olav Lundanes (NOR) is not on the line-up for the sprint and 4 athletes can beat Olav and reach to be 2:nd in the total after Bergman. Closest are the 2019 season rising star, Joey Hadorn (SUI), with only 2 points up to Olav. Daniel Hubmann (SUI) is only 27 point behind Joey. Vojtech Kral (CZE) and Frederic Tranchand (FRA) can also reach the 2nd place in the total.

By 3 wins out of 3, so far, Team Sweden is, almost, a winner of the 2019 Team World Cup trophy. The only possible scenario for Switzerland to reach to the top is if they win the final Sprint Relay and Team Sweden scores 0 (zero) points. Then,the two teams will end up with 300 points, but Team Switzerland will win the total due to highest placing in the final competition.
