European Championship

The European Orienteering Championship (in short EOC) is the official event to award the titles of European Champion in Orienteering.

Competitors representing other member Federations of the IOF can participate in EOC but will not be eligible for European titles, medals or diplomas.

All Federations can enter 8 competitors for each class in the qualification race.

Scoring

The Individual World Cup consist of 8 competition. The total score is the sum of the scores of each competition.
The 50 best gets World Cup points the the winner gets 100 point and position 50 gives 1 point.

The teams World Cup is defined as the sum of all scores from both relay and individual competitions according to the following principle:

  • Individual races: The sum of the four best runners per team (nation), both Men and Women
  • Relay: 30 teams from 500 points to 5 points
  • Sprint Relay: 30 teams from 1000 points to 10 points (double from relay)
