WSOC 2024 will be shown on national TV in Sweden, Austria and Estonia

When the world’s best ski orienteers head to Austria for the World Ski Orienteering Championships 2024 in January, a TV audience larger than ever will be able to follow the fight for medals in the snow.

The national TV channels SVT in Sweden, ORF in Austria and ERR Estonia have acquired the rights to broadcast the high-quality TV production from the Sprint and the Pursuit races.

WSOC 2024 features four races from January 23-27 and takes place in Ramsau in the Austrian Alps, which also hosted the 2023 Ski Orienteering World Cup Round 1 in January.

IOF CEO Henrik Eliasson says:

“It is a milestone that we have managed to introduce an international Ski Orienteering championship on the major national TV channels. They can gather an audience of millions and reach the general population with our fantastic sport. This is a step on the way to achieving IOF’s primary goal of becoming global and sustainable sport.”

The broadcast from all four championship races is also available with English commentary on IOF TV.
