WSOC 2021: gold for Daisy Kudre and Jorgen Baklid

Daisy Kudre (Estonia) and Jorgen Baklid (Norway) won tough and tricky Middle distance race at the 24th World Ski Orienteering Championships in Kääriku, Otepää, Estonia.

Daisy Kudre won her second gold and third overall medal of the championships. Estonian athlete finished 17 seconds ahead of Anna Magdalena Olsson (Sweden) and 59 seconds of neutral athlete Alena Trapeznikova.

In the men’s class Jorgen Baklid took an early lead and crossed a finish line with a comfortable margin of 1 minute 37 seconds ahead of Markus Lundholm (Sweden) and 1 minute 42 seconds of Nicola Mueller (Switzerland).

It was a first gold medal for Norwegian ski-orienteer at senior level and second overall medal of the championships.
