We’ve already handed out medals at WOC, EYOC, JWOC and WMOC during the last three weeks and now it’s time for the world’s best mountainbike orienteers to compete for medals at the World Mountainbike Orienteering Championships and JWMTBOC in Sweden.
From July 15–20 five competitions await in central Sweden: Middle, Relay, Long, Sprint and Mass Start.
The first two competitions Middle and Relay are held in the forests close to Säter and offers relatively fast orienteering on sandy paths, whereas the last three races take place in the rougher terrain around Falun further to the north.
131 athletes from 25 countries have entered the WMTBOC and the JWMTBOC will welcome 71 athletes from 18 countries.
Besides crowning world champions in five different disciplines, the four individual races are part of the CX 80 World Cup season. The current leaders, Camilla Søgaard (DEN) and Simon Braendli (SUI) will be there to defend their lead.
