Seven national broadcasters have acquired the rights to show the prestigious races live when they take place from July 9-12, 2025.
These are YLE (Finland), NRK (Norway), SVT (Sweden), SRG (Switzerland), ERR (Estonia), ORF (Austria) and CzTV (Czechia).

The many TV viewers can look forward to following the athletes in a state-of-the-art TV production that uses drones, running cameras in the forest and integrates GPS tracking, so that every moment of the competitions can be followed at close range.
CEO of the International Orienteering Federation, Henrik Eliasson says:
”Orienteering has taken quantum leaps in recent years and has developed into an extremely viewer-friendly sport, where modern technology makes it possible to be right out in the forest when the crucial things happen. We are delighted that so many broadcasters have discovered how attractive it is to show orienteering and are thrilled that so many TV viewers will have the opportunity to follow the competitions in July,”
Event director of WOC 2025, Jari Kymäläinen says:
”We have worked hard for several years to create the highest quality when it comes to both the orienteering competitions and the spectator experience at this year’s World Orienteering Championships. Therefore, we are joyful that so many will have the opportunity to watch – regardless of whether they are in the atmospheric arenas near Kuopio or watching from home. We look forward to getting started with WOC 2025.”
