Updated qualification rules for The World Games 2022 in Birmingham, Alabama, USA have been published on the IOF website. They can be found here.
The reason for the update of the rules is the expected further disruption of IOF events caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Previous qualification rules were based largely upon results at the World Orienteering Championships 2021, and it can be expected that a number of nations will not be able to participate with full teams. The new rules therefore place a further emphasis on other qualification methods, particularly for determining regional qualification spots.
