Swedish World Cup success: Alexandersson and Lind win Pursuit

The Swedish World Cup success continues. Yesterday’s double victory was followed by another double victory in the Pursuit by Tove Alexandersson and William Lind.

Tove Alexandersson was in the lead through the entire 5,9 kilometer long course. She won, 3.24 ahead of her team mate Karolin Ohlsson who beat Anastasia Rudnaya, Russia, in a long sprint finish.

Sweden were dominant also in the men’s class. William Lind made a really strong Pursuit, starting as number 17 (!) 3.24 minutes after the leader. The race was won in a sprint finish with seven runners fighting for the victory until the very end. In the end William Lind was strongest, winning ahead of yesterday’s winner Gustav Bergman, Sweden and Frederic Tranchand, France.
