Podcast: MØ – on orienteering and music, racing Maja Alm in their youth and struggling with the compass

Danish music artist MØ has spent the last 15 years creating monster hits like “Lean On” and “Final Song”, won several awards and toured the world with her music.

But what you probably don’t know is that she is also a passionate orienteer, who took up the sport as a child and rediscovered the joy of orienteering a handful of years ago.

In connection with the release of her fourth studio album, Plæygirl, in May 2025, we had a chance to meet her and talk about her passion.

So in this episode of the IOF Podcast, she talks about her joy of orienteering, competing against seven-time world champion Maja Alm in the youth classes and not being best friends with her compass – among other things.
