Eirik Langedal Breivik (NOR) took the orienteering world by surprise, when he won the middle distance at the European Orienteering Championships in Hungary in August.
It was warm and tough, and the Norwegian steered clear of any mistake in his breakthrough performance, where all the opponents lost time on the technically demanding slopes.
