The current pandemic has affected all aspects of life. We asked our partner Sign Sport what it has meant for them.
How has your business been affected by the ongoing crisis?
Like everything related to sports, our business is seriously affected by the lockdown. Without competitions, a very small number of clubs are placing orders for new equipment, which is to be expected. However, we have not stopped working, we are developing a lot of new things that we plan to show next season, and we have also started producing face masks, which has helped us to keep on all our employees, both in the production and in the office.
Do you expect the orders to return this year or do you think many orienteering clubs will be waiting until next year to upgrade club clothing design?
If competitions start again soon, we certainly expect the clubs to become more active but for sure some of them will wait for the next season.
It was only this year that Sign Sport became the official clothing partner of the IOF. What do you expect from the collaboration?
We are very enthusiastic about our partnership with the IOF. We expect a useful collaboration for both sides and we will try to make great clothes for the federation and World Orienteering Day.
Do you have a message to orienteers for the coming summer season?
Don’t stop doing what you love and when we can compete again in the forest, the pleasure will be even greater.
