Joey Hadorn nominated for The World Games Athlete of the Year award

Swiss national team athlete Joey Hadorn has been nominated for the World Games Athlete of the Year 2024 award.

It comes after a season where the 27-year old achieved some remarkable results:

He started the international season in the best possible way by winning the first race, the World Cup Knock-Out Sprint in Olten on home ground in Switzerland on the 25th of May. That was was Hadorn’s third ever World Cup win and his first win in a sprint discipline.

Joey Hadorn crosses the finish line in Olten ahead of Sweden’s Jonatan Gustafsson.

In July, Hadorn was part of the Swiss team that won the Sprint Relay at the World Orienteering Championships in Edinburgh.

Hadorn’s successful third leg run played a vital role in Switzerland’s first Sprint Relay gold at a World Championships since 2014.
