Planning for the first ever fully online General Assembly of the IOF, to be held on July 10, 2020, is progressing. The IOF is teaming up with LUMI to provide a proven interactive solution for the digital meeting. Although the initial motivation for the digital meeting was the travel and movement restrictions in place during the Corona (Covid-19) pandemic, the hope is that holding the meeting digitally will increase participation and transparency about the workings of the IOF. Early member delegation registrations indicate that this may very well be the case.
All member federations have received information about the meeting by e-mail to the federation contact address. Member federations are reminded to register their participation for the General Assembly. To help in setting up the meeting we would like to receive registrations prior to June 1, 2020.
Member federations are also reminded to make sure that their membership fee payments are up to date. Members who have not met their financial obligations to the IOF prior to the General Assembly will not be able to exercise their statutory rights in connection with the General Assembly. The IOF has sent a notice regarding membership fee payments to federations that may have missed payments.
If a member federation has for some reason not received the above information, please be in contact with the IOF Office immediately.
The General Assembly on July 10 will be open for online observers. More information about this will be published as the general Assembly approaches.
Documents for the IOF General Assembly are published on the General Assembly 2020 page
