Last weekend, the IOF FootO Commission and the IOF Rules Commission organised a FootO Event Adviser Clinic in Brno, Czech Republic. The organisation of the Clinic was done by Adam Chromý and Áron Less (both IOF FootO Commission), while the presentations were made by Áron Less and Száva Zsigmond (IOF Senior Event Adviser).
The programme included both theoretical presentations and practical exercises (such as sprint controlling and course planning, jury cases, etc.), groupwork, questions, feedback session and many-many discussions.
There were 19 participants representing a total of 8 Federations: Belgium, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia and Ukraine, a very enthusiatic group.
The seminar was conducted in a very positive and uplifting manner. The participants learned a lot about the IOF and current trends and practices in international orienteering. The instructors also got plenty of new ideas.
The next event for advanced level Event Advisers and event organisers is the IOF High Level Event Seminar in Glasgow, on 15-16 February 2020, while the next IOF Event Adviser Clinic (for EA basic training) and Development Clinic will be organised in Malaysia on 6-8 March 2020.
