Help orienteering become a more sustainable sport

Orienteering is well on its way to become a more sustainable sport and we would love to have your help achieving our goals.

IOF’s Environment and Sustainability Commission is looking for new members to complement the existing group of volunteers working to improve IOF’s efforts within climate work and sustainability.

IOF’s main goal is to become a global and sustainable sport and has a recognised position as two-time winner of the IOC Carbon Action Award.

Within the ESC there is a unique opportunity to build further competence in an international context and deliver on IOF’s commitment to reduce Carbon footprint by 50% before 2030.

The commission is looking for members who will contribute to the work and if you have experience within environmental impact assessment, quality systems (ISO) or communication it will be extra welcome.

You can find out more about the goals and work in IOF’s Environment and Sustainability Commission here:

Interested candidates are welcome to send an e-mail to IOF Secretary General Sondre Gullord

And if you know someone who you think would like to contribute to the commission’s work, please let them know about the opportunity.
