This weekend the orienteering World Cup Final will be held in China. Tove Alexandersson has already won the overall World Cup on the women’s side. She has won all seven individual World Cup races so far this season, and she will compete in China for the ultimate “clean sheet” of winning all World Cup races.
10 women are in the race for the two remaining medal positions, with Simona Aebersold and Natalia Gemperle in a clear lead ahead of the rest. A top 5 placing in the middle for Aebersold and Gemperle will give them a very good position before the final Sprint.
Gustav Bergman leads the men’s standings. If Bergman wins the middle, he is the winner of World Cup 2019 with 499 points. However if he is 2nd, Daniel Hubmann, Vojtech Kral or Joey Hadorn must win the middle to stay in the running to win the World Cup.
If Bergman is 3:rd, Hubmann, Kral, and Hadorn can win or be in second to stay in the race and Tranchand is still in the race if he wins the middle.
