With 5 races of the 9-race CX80 World Cup season now completed, Danish rider Nikoline Splittorff and the Finn André Haga continue to lead the standings. Both riders won one of the recent two races in Latvia; Splittorff was second in the other whilst Haga was third.
Biggest improvement amongst the top six comes from Andreas Waldmann, Austria, who moves from sixth to third. Cæcilie Christoffersen, Denmark moves up from sixth to fourth.
The final four races will be held in Bulgaria in mid-September, as part of this year’s World MTBO Championships. A rider’s best 7 results out of the total of 9 races will count for the final World Cup scores.
The Mixed Relay in Latvia was the second race in the 2024 Team World Cup, and the series will be completed with the men’s and women’s relay events at the World Championships. After 2 rounds, Lithuania leads with 33 points, Finland and Italy are in joint second place with 32, and Czechia is fourth with 30.
