The cooperation among Central-European orienteering federations (CEOC – Central European Orienteering Cooperation) has been officially established at a meeting in Csákvár, Hungary. Two fundamental documents were adopted: the code of functioning of the cooperation and special rules for the Central European Youth Orienteering Cup (CEYOC).
In order to keep the functioning of this organisation simple and effective, it was agreed upon to not appoint a committee, chairman or secretary of the organization, but only a coordinator and deputy to deal with ad-hoc matters. Dušan Vystavěl was elected to the position of coordinator, with Jan Picek as deputy. The founding countries of CEOC were Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
Because one of the reasons for low participation during CEYOC this year was a poor synchronisation of national event calendars, one of the first tasks was to settle the dates and organizers of CEYOC for next two years, which are as follows:
2019 – 5-7 April – Slovakia – organization by Kobra Bratislava, the Šaštín-Stráže area
2020 – 3-5 April – the Czech Republic – organization by Tesla Brno, the Brno area
