Belgium to host Sprint EOC in 2025

In three years the orienteering elite will travel to Flanders to fight for medals, as the IOF Council during a meeting in June appointed Belgium to host the Sprint European Orienteering Championships in 2025.

The championships will be the first ever international orienteering championships in Belgium and feature the three sprint disciplines: Individual Sprint, Sprint Relay and Knock-Out Sprint.

Preliminary dates for the championship races are August 20-24, 2025. The EOC races will be part of the 2025 Orienteering World Cup as well.

This summer Belgian athlete Yannick Michiels won Belgium’s first ever WOC medal, as he finished third in the Individual Sprint in Vejle during WOC in Denmark.
