10Mila to be shown on IOF TV for the next three years

IOF has acquired the TV-rights to broadcast the tradition-rich Swedish orienteering relays at 10Mila for the international audience until 2025.

The broadcast will be available with English (and hopefully Finnish) commentary at IOF’s brand-new streaming platform IOF TV, which will debut very soon.

10mila consists of the Youth Relay, Women’s Relay and 10Mila Relay and will be held this year on the weekend 20-21 May in the terrain around Skellefteå in northern Sweden.

The TV production team around 10mila has extensive experience in creating exciting and engaging sports television from the many hours in the forest.

The pricing at IOF TV will be similar to the Swedish broadcast at 10Mila WebbTV, which is the option for the TV audience in Sweden.

The history of 10Mila goes back to 1945, when the first relay was held.

In recent years, teams from 8-10 countries have competed and created an international atmosphere around the three relays.

Almost 900 teams in total raced at last year’s relays in Örebro, where Göteborg-Majorna OK (SWE), Nydalens SK (NOR) and OK Linné (SWE) won the Youth, Women’s and 10Mila relay respectively.
