International Specifications


International Specification for Orienteering Maps (ISOM)

National map commissions can request the original ISOM2017-2 InDesign files for translations (contact the IOF Office iof@orienteering.org). Please report all errors to the IOF Office or to the IOF Map Commission.

Unofficial translations

Translations are made by national federations and private persons. Please note that in any conflict between the original English IOF version and the translation, the English IOF version shall prevail.

Map printing


Test sheet for assessing print quality for orienteering maps

The IOF Map Commission has created a test sheet, which has been printed using spot colour offset printing. The test sheet is free and can be ordered from the IOF Office. With the test sheet it is possible to examine print quality using the following files:

Instructions

MC is currently (2019) working on a new test sheet which will be printed using both methods: CMYK+B colour offset printing and laser printing.
